THREE WAYS TO USE IT ★

Print and play. Plain paper, five minutes, done. Print a page again whenever it wears out.

Print on card. Thin card holds up to small hands much better - especially the cards, the letters and the poking pages, which get handled the most.

The real busy book. Laminate the pages you will use again and again, cut out the loose pieces and laminate those too, round the corners so nothing is sharp. Stick the soft side of a velcro dot on each piece and the rough side on the page. Punch holes down the left edge and put everything in a ring binder. The pieces stay where your child puts them, and the whole book travels.

WHERE TO START ★

Colours first, then shapes, then letters and numbers. The cutting and poking pages can be done at any point - they train the hand, not the head. Four colours before eight, one to five before six to ten.

PRINTING ★

Print at 100 percent, not "fit to page", so everything stays the size it was drawn.

The same pages print correctly on both US Letter and A4 - every page is drawn well clear of the edges, so nothing is lost on either size. Just print at 100 percent.

A NOTE ON THE POKING PAGES ★

A push pin is sharp. Sit with your child, use a folded towel or a cork mat underneath, and put the pin away when you are finished.

COMMON QUESTIONS ★

When do I get it? Straight after your payment clears. Etsy emails you a download link and the files also sit under Purchases in your Etsy account.

Is anything posted to me? No. This is a digital download - nothing is shipped.

Do I need special software? No. It is an ordinary PDF. Any phone, tablet or computer opens it, and any home printer prints it.

Why three files? Etsy limits how big one file can be. The book is split in three so the pages stay at full print quality instead of being squashed.

How many times can I print it? As many as you like, forever, for your own family or classroom.

Can I use it at school? Yes - use it with your own class freely. Please do not resell it or pass the files on to other teachers; send them here instead.
